Ophthalmology

Fairfield Equine provides routine and emergency medical care to horses with a variety of ophthalmic disorders including corneal ulcers, corneal and eyelid cancer, equine recurrent uveitis, cataracts, and glaucoma.

Board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Corey Schmidt, is available to consult on complex cases and perform advanced diagnostics.

Several procedures may be performed under standing sedation including: enucleation, eyelid surgery, corneal reconstruction, and cyclosporine implants.
