Claudia Sandoval, DVM
Dr. Sandoval had an interesting childhood, growing up in Brooklyn, NY and spending summers in El Salvador, Central America. Working on her father’s farm in El Salvador and riding her pony Estrella motivated her to become a veterinarian. A proud Cornellian, she attended Cornell University for undergraduate and veterinary degrees. At the Cornell veterinary college she pursued equine medicine and graduated in 2007. To broaden her equine medical experience, Dr. Sandoval completed a one year internship at the Woodside Equine Clinic in Ashland, Virginia after obtaining her DVM.
Dr. Sandoval has specific interests in internal and preventative medicine, geriatric care and dentistry. She is eager to join Fairfield Equine Associates in a unique position providing emergency and critical care, wellness and dentistry services.
Dr. Sandoval is not only devoted to her job but to her family as well. When not at work, she enjoys time with her husband, Ian, and raising their twin daughters, Criss and Ella.
