Seed money to establish The Foundation was generously donated by Dr. and Mrs. Max Gahwyler.  As horse owners, Dr. and Mrs. Gahwyler are unparalleled in their commitment to the horse world.  The Foundation was established to provide emergency, life-saving surgery for a child's horse whose owners could not otherwise afford treatment.

We have expanded the goal of The Foundation to include hay for rescued horses as well as research to benefit horse health.

Funding of our Foundation relies on horse lovers everywhere interested in the welfare of all horses.
